Catholic Action Center

Catholic Action Center is Bim Group’s Charity of the Year for 2020. The center is a house of hospitality that welcomes all who are in need. It is a faith based outreach of volunteers who strive to provide all guests a welcoming place to receive their basic needs with dignity.The mission of the center is to “fill in the gap” of services for our brothers and sisters in need with no government funding by providing an opportunity for people of faith to connect with and serve the marginalized of our community. Three meals a day, shower and restroom facilities, mail receipt, a telephone, clean clothing and a place to gather are all a part of the hospitality offered. Caring ears to listen and connections with social service agencies are also available. Daily prayer services are held for those who hunger spiritually.

Voices of Hope is an organization that helps people in recovery stay in recovery by providing no-cost recovery support services, conducting research, and educating and advocating for the community we serve. Their overarching goal is to enhance the quantity and quality of support available to people seeking and experiencing long-term recovery from alcohol and other drug addiction.

LHS is the largest pet adoption agency in Central Kentucky. They educate the community on responsible pet care and the compassionate treatment of all animals, and spay/neuter the pets of qualifying families at a low cost.

New Life Day Center

New Life Day Center provides assistance to those in need in the Lexington, KY area. Through multiple different services, NLDC is able to empower individuals to become stable, independent and proud. With the community’s help, they are able to contribute and serve in multiple life-changing ways – help offer medical services, get panhandlers off the streets, house individuals, and ultimately connect them to Christ.

Chrysalis House

Chrysalis House is Kentucky’s oldest and largest licensed substance abuse treatment program for women, established in 1978 with six beds on the grounds of Eastern State Hospital. Today, Chrysalis House is a comprehensive agency with four residential facilities, a forty-unit apartment complex, a 18,000 square foot, multi-purpose community center, and an outpatient office.
