Employee Spotlight: Evan Ball - Bim Group

Employee Spotlight: Evan Ball

Meet Evan, one of Bim Group’s Benefit Advisors! He joined us just over 2 years ago and has been an awesome addition to the team. As a Benefit Advisor, Evan’s focus is on helping employers design and sustain an employee benefit plan that is an integral component of their employee’s total compensation. Read the short interview below to learn more about Evan!

Q: Could you briefly detail your work/education background?

A: I graduated from Western Kentucky University in 2011 with a degree in Finance with an emphasis in Financial Planning.  Before joining the team at Bim Group in 2017, I worked in the employee benefits world as a Retirement Plan Specialist for a Third Party Administrator firm in Louisville for six years where I earned my QKA (Qualified 401(k) Administrator) designation.

Q: What drew you to the employee benefits world?

A: Employee Benefits can be extremely complex but play such a pivotal role in the lives of families and the success of local businesses.  It is very rewarding to have a career where I can serve Kentucky employers and help them provide exceptional benefits to take care of their employees.

Q: What do you like most about working at Bim Group?

A: There are so many things to love about working at Bim Group which is why we are recognized year after year as a “Best Places to Work in Kentucky.”  I love that we are challenged every day to “bring our best” to serve our clients and team members.  Bim Group employees truly care about our clients and each other which makes it easy for everyone to be aligned on this goal.

Q: What do you want to accomplish this year?

A: Bim Group brings so many benefit tools to the table that employers may or may not currently have at their disposal.  My goal this year is to continue to connect with Kentucky businesses and explore whether any of the tools our clients are taking advantage of could provide value and help them achieve their goals for their plan.

Q: What do you like to do in your spare time?

A: My wife, Natalie, and I recently welcomed our first child, Ellis, back in December, so there is not as much spare time as we used to have!  We are big baseball fans (specifically the Chicago Cubs) and are currently trying to see a game at every ball park (14 out of 30 so far).  We love running and competing in races, traveling, board games, and are very involved with Southland Christian Church.

Bim Group is extremely proud to be a perennial winner of the Best Places to Work in Kentucky award. What makes this designation so special is that it is bestowed upon us by our own Rockstar employees. This monthly series individually spotlights one of our employees and gives you a glimpse of what it means to them to be a part of a “Best Places to Work” organization.
